Lucknow: Video of the SDM ‘Ashok Chaudhary’ beating up youths went viral on the various social media platforms, following which the victim youths lodged a complaint with the police.
On Thursday, a senior official of Ballia district administration was caught on camera, he was beating up youths and misbehaving with them while enforcing a drive for the people to wear masks.
Ashok Chaudhary can be seen in the video hitting people with a stick at the tehsil office gate and he did not even spare any senior citizens.
Those who wore ‘gamchas’ which is a traditional cotton towels in order to cover their faces were also targeted by the SDM while beating.
Several citizens were injured in SDM’s ‘campaign’ and later in a video youth can be with his hand bleeding profusely.
The incident led to tremendous anger among locals, businessmen and the shopkeepers.
Taking serious note of this shocking incident, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has suspended the Ashok Chaudhary and attached him to the Revenue Board, officials said in Lucknow.
Commissioner of Lucknow Police, Vijay Vishwas Pant has also requested the Ballia district magistrate to probe the matter immediately.
In one of the videos which went viral on social media, Ashok Chaudhary is seen beating the local youths, including a person going on a bike with a woman at the main gate of the tehsil. While in the other video Chaudhary is seen entering a grocery shop at the traffic intersection and beating up two young guys, dragging them on the road.
SDM Ashok Chaudhary and Along with him, his security personnel are also seen beating up the youths in the video which went viral.
The youths have later lodged a police complaint against the SDM.
Government Officials who are supposed to work for the betterment of society are beating up the youth mercilessly.
